1/20/25 - Today, the nation will celebrate the national holiday honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., born on January 15, 1929. This day pays tribute to his extraordinary life and enduring legacy for civil rights. As a member of this city council, I have reflected deeply on his profound words: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’" As members of this city council and in partnership with our city administrators, we are reminded of the weight of our duties and responsibilities. Inspired by Dr. King’s vision, we have stood united in service to others and are committed to positively impacting our community.
